When I talk about food that triggers acne, a lot of my patients ask me: But what can I eat now? There is nothing left!
A high carb diet or a diet rich in animal protein are both bad choices when it comes to acne. So what is the solution?
In this video I talk about healthy protein choices for an anti-inflammatory diet that helps you fight against acne.
- Lentils
They are rich in protein and deliver important minerals and fiber. Fiber is essential for our gut health and hormonal balance. - Oats
Oats are a carb, but are rich in protein as well. They also comes with minerals and fiber and help stabilize blood sugar levels. - Brokkoli
Surprisingly a vegetable has made it on this list! Compared to other vegetables, Brokkoli contains more protein and is a superfood for skin health, because of its anti-inflammatory properties. - Chicken breast
Skinless chicken breast is a lean source of animal protein. This makes it healthier than other meat. Organic quality is important. - Wild caught salmon
Salmon is rich in anti-inflammatory omega 3, which makes it an excellent choice. Quality is key here! - With these options it should be easy to create a mealplan that tastes good and keeps you satisfied.
